I feel like I’ve spoken about each and every one of these products a million times over here on my blog. But I felt like, just once, I should dedicate an entire blog posts to my favourite base products – I’m talking those ones I go to day in day out, without fail, and I know I will love my foundation and makeup for the whole day!
A little about me, for those of you who don’t know. I’m pale.. very pale. My skin is normal to dry. I don’t like a super high coverage all the time – I prefer a lighter foundation and a higher coverage concealer. I’m luckily blessed that I don’t get bags under my eyes. But I do have spot prone skin.
My favourite primer of all time is the smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. It makes my skin surface smooth and silky, aiding foundation application and helping to stop it from settling into fine lines and pores.
The foundation of the moment is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation. It’s a light to medium coverage pale foundation that really does last well. It blends easily, and has a beautiful natural finish. You can read my full review on it here.
It is no surprise whatsoever what my favourite concealers are. I mean, come on, especially two of them, I feel like I never stop talking about! The Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer is just everyone’s favourite. It’s a high coverage concealer that just works. The shade selection is a little naff, but if you can find one that works for you, I couldn’t recommend it enough. I don’t like it so much under the eyes, and so for an under eye concealer and for brightening I swap between my Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer and L’Oreal True Match Concealer. I love both of them, I feel like the Bourjois one is a touch more radiance, but the L’Oreal concealer comes in far more shades!
Finishing it off I have been loving the loose powder from GOSH. I have actually finished this now (it was in my empties the other day). But I’m about to head out and buy another one (when my spending ban is over) because I miss it that much! It’s a lovely finely milled powder that sets very well, and doesn’t really have any flashback!
