New | L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Shine Lipstick

L’Oreal really do some amazing lipsticks! Their Gold Obsessions were some of my favourites and they do a collection of lipsticks with celebrities names on them.. and I love them! Now they’ve launched 13 shades in this clear packaging. They’re £8.99 and they come in the wackiest range of colours.

The L’Oreal formula of lipstick is AMAZING. They’re pigmented, super comfortable, have a shine finish to them, they’re fairly long lasting, and they’re super easy to apply. I feel like the drugstore brands that – to me – get lipsticks so right are Rimmel, Maybelline Bourjois and L’Oreal.

I’m completely on the fence with the packaging… I simultaneously love and hate it. I think the packaging is both sleek and elegant AND cheap and tacky… it’s really weird. I really can’t explain it. They don’t feel cheap, they feel fairly weighty and good quality… I think I’m just not sure about the clear plastic packaging. I feel like it could get quite messy.

So I have 7 shades from the range (as they only had 7 in my local Superdrug), which are (from right to left) Pursue Pretty (109), Only in Paris (112), Insensation (350), Map to Nirvana (470), MLBB (642), Hot Girl (643), Girls Night (906).

However, there are 13 shades in total. I feel like there’s a lot of shades in this range I’m never going to wear (the bottom row especially), and I still don’t really understand why there are three grey/silver tones… who wears grey/silver lipstick? but there are some stunningly pretty colours which I know everyone will completely love!

Essentially, if there’s a colour here, and you’re not bothered by the clear packaging, and you like a glossy finish… then you will LOVE these lipsticks. I have to say, I am really enjoying the more glossy finish, I think it is going to be amazing in the Summer – with I am VERY impatiently waiting for.
