5 Minute Face

Travel Makeup 2

As you may or may not know, I moved to London… but I’ve already been home twice… yes, I have issues. But, in my defence, home is pretty close, and I get free lifts to and from London with my brother (he does London Farmer’s Markets not far from my house). And, when I’m travelling, I like to take makeup with me, but I want it to me small, compact and quick. So, I guess this doubles up as a 5 minute face and a travel makeup kit… but these are my favourites for a quick makeup look!

My base is super simple, natural, medium coverage and just applies on the face with ease.. making the whole process really quick. If I’m in a rush, I skip primer…. whoops. One of my favourite foundations at the moment is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation. It is super lightweight… and… well… breathable. It’s easy to apply, looks absolutely stunning AND it lasts fairly well. I apply the Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer under my eyes and on the high points of my face. This is a really hydrating concealer that brightens like a dream. To add coverage exactly where I need it, I dap on some of the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I feel like everyone knows and loves this concealer, so I have nothing to say. And then I set the whole thing down with my GOSH Prime ‘N Set Primer & Mattifying Setting Powder. This is a lovely loose setting powder that makes my skin look airbrushed and smooth.

Enter the star of the show. The Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette (read my full review here) contains basically everything you need for a natural makeup look. Unlike many other palettes in this kind of format… I LOVE everything in this palette. The bronzer is a lovely colour, natural and blendable, the blush super pretty, the highlighter is blinding, and the eyeshadows apply like a dream. I use the whole shabang and I LOVE it! I then finish off the eye look with a quick coat (or two) of the Benefit RollerLash. This is a easy to use mascara because it doesn’t clump and it looks amazing.

Right guys…. brace yourself… I have been using something new on my brows! WHAAAT?! I have put aside my Maybelline Brow Satin (which I still adore, and I would still say is my favourite brow product), and I’ve been using the NYX Precision Brow Pencil (read my full review here). This is a great brow product, super easy to apply, I love the fact it comes with a spoolie (making it equally great for travelling), and a great brow product. And, then I’ve been using my firm favourite, the GOSH Brow Gel in translucent to set it all down.

I then finish off the whole look with possibly my favourite lip product ever, the Max Factor Lip Lacquer in Chocolate Nectar. This lip product is super pigmented, easy to apply, slightly glossy and super super comfortable. Plus, the colour is gorgeous and completely rounds off the whole natural makeup look. It’s also surprisingly long lasting.

What’s in your 5 minute makeup look?
