Who doesn’t love a good eyeshadow palette? Because I know I sure do! I have used and loved the Max Factor eyeshadow quads, and so thought it was about time I tried one of their full eyeshadow palettes.

I fell in love with the Nude Rose palette, it contains a lovely array of super natural and delicate rosey nudes, with some darker shades with which to smoke it out with. The palette comes at £14.99 for 8 shades – so not the cheapest out there, but also not unreasonable.

The shade range is good. I feel like there are a lot of lighter shades that are very similar and then it suddenly goes darker and smokier at the end. The copper and the mauve shade next to it are absolutely stunning, and definitely my favourite shades in the palette. Despite the fairly limited colour palette, you can create a fair few different neutral looks from natural everyday to bolder smokey eyes.

The formula is ok. It works, but it’s nothing breathtaking. The eyeshadows are a tad powdery, and pack a fair amount of pigment, but it does take a little building. They blend well, but blend fast, and you can be careful of blending it away to complete nothingness. However, surprisingly, the pigment does last pretty well.

Overall an averagely ok eyeshadow palette, I definitely think there are better ones out there on the market.

Have you tried this? If so, what are your thoughts?

  1. It looks really beautiful, but some of the shades on the swatches look a bit strange.. I’m not really sure how I feel about it, but I love your photography nevertheless! xx
