Most Reached For Lipsticks

Lipsticks 2

There’s probably three words to sum up this entire range of lipsticks; mauve toned nudes. Yes, I have a bit of an issue, but they really are the shades I reach for on an everyday basis. Even so, I thought I would share with you those lipsticks I wear basically all the time. These are the lipsticks that if I only had to chose a handful, it would be these, enjoy!

Topshop lipstick in Devotion | Such an easy formula and colour to wear, the packaging is cute but not particularly practical (as it gets dirty really quickly), and they’re a really good price.

Max Factor Lip Lacquer in Chocolate Nectar | A new find for me, but it’s one of my new favourites! It has a slightly glossy finish, while still being super pigmented, it is super comfortable, a beautiful shade that looks great as a wash of colour or as an opaque lipstick, and it comes with a pleasantly sweet smell. One of my favourite finds of the year.

Mac lipsticks in Hot Gossip, Faux and Velvet Teddy | I feel like Mac lipsticks need no introduction, people speak about them left, right, and centre, and they have firmly found their place in the lipstick market. The three shades here are all different versions of the same colour basically, which I am totally aware of, but I do wear them all, and I wear them a lot.

NYX Matte Cream in Budapest and Cannes | These are the sweetest smelling lipsticks ever, but what really impresses me about these lipsticks is the way they wear. They sort of fade rather than wear in weird patches. Once again, they’re effectively the same shade, but one shade is darker than the other.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Nude-ist | One of the first liquid lipsticks I ever owned, and it has stayed a firm favourite ever since.

Rimmel The One Matte Lipstick in Trendsetter | The longest lasting matte lipstick from the drugstore I’ve ever tried, and it’s not drying. It has a bit of a weird scent that takes a little getting used to. But, a really strong range of lipsticks with some stunning shades (just this one is the most used).

Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Velvet Beige | I remember, many years ago, when I used to wear this lipstick daily. It’s very much a ‘your lips but better’ kinda lipstick, and I just wore it religiously. I think there are other lipsticks out there now I prefer, but I do find myself going back to it.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107 | A classic. I don’t wear it much at this time of year, but a firm favourite for the autumnal and winter months. These lipsticks used to be my favourite formula, and while I still enjoy wearing many of them, over the years, there are lipsticks I find myself gravitating towards more often

Elizabeth Arden Iced Grape | I used to have a nude one of these, but I lost it, and so now this is the lipstick I reach for. It’s a much deeper nude than others, but for the colder months, one that makes its appearance regularly.

Lancome L’absolu Rouge in 06 | I only have a mini of this lipstick, but it’s one that I use a lot, it’s just so convenient to put in your bag, it’s a really easy lipstick to apply (due to it’s formula and colour), and to be honest, it’s just cute isn’t it!?

GOSH Liquid Lipstick in Berry Me | This is much more of a berry colour (nah!), and not one I find myself wearing on the daily, but when mixed with one of the Nip+Fab lipsticks, this is suddenly one of my favourite shades (especially when paired with my GOSH to enjoy in new york eyeshadow palette).

  1. Good lipstick reviews, would’ve been good if you repeated that picture throughout the blog post so I didn’t keep have to keep scrolling up. Wish I wore lipstick enough to justify a mac lipstick
