Metallic lips have been all over the beauty world over the past few months, and one of our favourite cheap drugstore brands are launching 4 shades (yes, I’m missing one…) of matte metallic liquid lipsticks.
At the cost of £3 these things are insanely affordable! And the packaging is actually really luxe feeling and really nice. However, I’m really sorry, but I feel like that’s where the positives finish.
Because these metallic lipsticks have a matte finish, they’re super drying on the lips, and the metallic element feels really chunky on the lips. They last a fair amount of mine, but they form a weird crusty line on the lips. And the colour range is odd: the lipsticks don’t actually have their names written on them, and so I don’t know which one is which, but only the red one actually looks any good on my lips. The super pale one gives me weird flashbacks of concealer lips and the copper shade just looks horrible.
I really don’t like these, and I have to say, I wouldn’t recommend them. Although, the normal MUA Luxe Lip Laquers (although a tad drying), are really nice, and the shade Dash is gorgeous! Just avoid the metallic ones….
