New | I Heart Makeup Golden Bar Palette

I Heart Makeup is a brand sold in superdrug that seem to completely dupe Too Faced. They launched two new palettes recently, one of which being the Golden Bar Palette. I thought it was stunning, and so I thought I would pick it up and share my thoughts and feelings with you!

The colour range is beautiful and right up my street. It contains earthy, warm shades including burgundy, brown, olive, and – of course – golden shades! The only thing this palette is lacking is a matte shade… as in a single matte shade. The palette is completely shimmery. It’s missing a beautiful matte brown or matte copper to go in the crease. However, I can get over that.

The pigmentation is beautiful. They’re super pigmented, they blend like a dream. Some of the shades are slightly chalky. But, on the whole, it is a beautiful formula. They last for ages, and have very little fall out. They’re also beautifully shimmery shades.

The only thing I think lets the product down is the packaging. While I get that they’re duping Too Faced, I feel like it looks and feels cheap and tacky. And if it came in a plain packet I think it would actually look so much nicer!

So in conclusion, the shades are beautiful, pigmented and blendable. However, it lacks some matte shades, and the packaging is a little tacky.
