Review | Lush Makeup

Like many of you, I wonder into Lush just to smell the room – I mean come on it smells delicious! Plus, I love everything the brand stands for; vegan, cruelty-free and hand made products. However, I lack a bath, so I can’t explore their ever famous bath bombs, but, I find myself often looking through their makeup collection wondering at it’s unusual packaging and concepts. Eventually I just took the leap and gave the brand a go, and here I am to tell you what I’ve learnt.

Bubblegum Lip Scrub | £5.50

Prepping your lips with a lip scrub at the start of your make-up routine to ensure your lipstick glides on and stays put. Containing exfoliating caster sugar and softening jojoba oil, it scrubs away dead skin without drying your lips. Plus, it tastes amazing (whoops!).

Light Pink Colour Supplement | £9.95

It’s a blend of pigment to a cream base of gentle rose petal infusion, which helps to reduce redness, vitamin E-rich rice bran oil for adding moisture, and titanium dioxide to help protect the skin from the sun. On it’s own it acts like a lightweight BB cream, mixed with a little with your favourite moisturiser, it created a tinted moisturiser!

Eyes Right Mascara | £12.00

This mascara is made with fresh wheatgrass to condition the lashes and suit even the most sensitive eyes. With only 10 ingredients, it’s much gentler on the eyes than most other mascaras.

Perspective Liquid Lipstick | £14.50

A rosy nude long-lasting lipstick which can be used as an eyeshadow, blusher or highlighter for a natural glow. The mixture of jojoba oil with candelilla and rose waxes helps to carry the pigment and lock in the colour without drying out the lips. Plus, this colour is just gorgeous!

Independent Liquid Liner | £14.50

A true jet black, with a no-smudge, stay put formula. As soon as you apply, the formula sets and is incredibly long lasting. The other eyeliners are made with the same base as the cream eyeshadows, which doesn’t set straight away so you have time to blend.

Sophisticated Cream Shadows | £14.50

A shimmering taupe cream eyeshadow which can be used wherever you want to highlight with a shimmering bronze. The colour will last and last: like all our eyeshadows and liquid eyeliners, it is made from a softening base that carries the colour wonderfully.

Have you ever tried Lush Products? If so, what were your thoughts?

      1. I got the same answer when I mentioned it in a store! 🙁 It’s frustrating but I do like that everything’s vegan & cruelty free xx
