Haircare with OGX

Ok, I have a lot of hair, and it was bleached all of 2 months ago, and ever since then it’s required a lot of care. Last month I picked up a number of these shampoo and conditioners from Superdrug, and OGX being an incredibly popular haircare brand, I thought I would give it them a go.

Sunkissed Blonde Lemon Highlights Shampoo & Conditioner

I have colour treated hair, and I was determined to find a blonde shampoo that kept my blonde looking fresh, and un-brassy. This shampoo is gorgeous. It smells amazing, it feels super luxury, it doesn’t lather quite in the same way other Shampoos do, but it still cleans your hair very well. It helps eliminate frizz, and leaves your hair feeling soft, silky and smooth – perfect.

I recommend this to anyone with blonde hair; colour treated or natural.

Renewing + Revive Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo & Conditioner

Infused with Moroccan Oil, this is a great Shampoo and Conditioner for those with super dry hair. If you’re finding your hair looks dry and, somewhat, frazzled at the end, any shampoo and conditioner with Argan Oil will do the trick. And this one will leave your hair feeling healthy, thick, and knot-free.

Moisture + Vitamin B5 Shampoo & Conditioner

This really intrigued me. Vitamin B5 for your hair? Really? Apparently it helps speed moisture into dry and stressed hair by helping to rebuild damaged lipid structures – yeah, I don’t know what that means either. This isn’t a quick results shampoo, it takes a little time to rebuild your hair. But after a week, my hair does feel thicker, stronger and look healthier.

I don’t often talk about haircare all that much on this blog. But I really wanted to give some credit to these Shampoos and Conditioners. I love them, a lot. For £3.50 a bottle (which was the offer they were on), they’re very worth it. However at £6.99 (which they usually are), I don’t think I could justify spending that much money.

  1. If you want to keep your bleached hair from going brassy I would recommend a purple shampoo. They work really well and the purple counteracts the brassiness🙂
