Updated Everyday Makeup Products

Today I’m talking all about those products I use day in day out! I’ve found that I’ve started to use some new products recently, and I am in love with my little set up right now! Little background: I work in a shop – Superdrug to be exact – and so these are the products I wear on my face everyday for work, not when I’m at home, and not when I’m going out. This is my Everyday Makeup!

So, before I do anything else I apply some lip balm, so that it’s drying while I do everything else. Currently I’m using my Balmi Lip Balm (£5.99). I actually love this lip balm, it’s so creamy and moisturising, but it dries really quickly – making it perfect for everyday pre-makeup use.

Right, I skip primer at the moment… because (to be honest) I’ve given up.. I really can’t find one – other than Max Factor Face Finity All Day Primer – that I like! And I head straight onto foundation. Currently I’m using the Bourjois City Radiance Foundation (£9.99) with my Primark (eek) Beauty Blender. This sponge is actually really hard, I just haven’t got round to getting a better one, and I really enjoy the finish when I use it. I spray a little bit of the Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Oil Control Setting Spray (£5) to help my foundation apply well and then stay in place. Then onto my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19), now this is one of those products EVERYONE raves about, but it’s amazing! I set everything with my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent (£3.99), and leave it to set while I continue with my makeup.

I love my brows right now! Partly due to the fact I have discovered threading, but mainly due to my current brow product, and that’s the Maybelline Brow Satin Pencil (£5.99). It’s just a simple waxy, mechanical pencil. But I love it because it’s just so EASY! If you haven’t tried this, you should, now, go, buy it.. why are you still here?? (haha!)

Now onto eyes. So currently I’m keeping my eyes really neutral, and basically all about the cat eye! I start with the Miss Sporty Studio Colour Quattro Eyeshadow Smoky Brown Eyes (£2.99). For this price this is just so fool proof! These eyeshadows are pigmented, blendable, and I love them! For my liquid eyeliner at work I use my Illamasqua Precision Ink Eyeliner (£20.50). Now this is usually more than I would pay for an eyeliner, however, this one is worth it. When I want my eyeliner to be BLACK, precise and stay in place ALL day without me having to worry about it smudging or anything, this is the one. It can be a pain to take off at the end of the day, but for work this is idea! For mascara at the moment I’m using the L’Oreal Paris False Lash Sculpt Mascara (£9.99). It has such an unusual brush, and it does clump more than, lets say, the Maybelliner Lash Sensational, but it’s quick. This mascara has an insane amount of volume in one coat, and so when I’m applying in a rush – like I do on a work morning – this is the one!

Now eyes are done, I brush my face over to remove excess powder and continue with face stuff. To contour at the moment and bronze the face I’m using my Smashbox Set-By-Step Contour Kit (£35) (I have a review of this up on my blog, read it here). I’m actually using the brush that came with it at the moment, just because why not…? I also use the highlight in this palette to help define my face, and then use a powder brush to blend everything together. I finish off my face with the Model Co Blush in Cosmopolitan (£16), I just love this blush, and have for some time. It’s a beautiful everyday colour, it looks beautiful on the skin. If I had to chose one blush to keep out of all of mine, I would chose this. Only downsize in the chunky packaging.

Now on a day to day basis my lip colour changes A LOT, and while I’m at work I tend to wear a Mac Lipstick, because they don’t sell it in Superdrug and I don’t want to be accused of stealing at work. But I have to say one of the colours I’ve been wearing non-stop on my lips is the Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick 630 Velvet Beige (£6.99). This lipstick is creamy, slightly glossy, pigmented, comfortable, eek I just love it!

And there you have it! My everyday makeup products, I hope you enjoyed reading some short reviews about the products that I use day in day out! What products have you been loving?

    1. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser, Rimmel Fix and Protect Makeup Primer, Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, Lancome La Base Pro… I just don’t get on with Primers :/
But the smashbox contour kit is amazing! If you have the money, then definitely go ahead and get it!
