Nudes Edit

Whatever the season nude shades are always on my makeup list, I feel like they will last you throughout the year, and they’re the products I get most use out of. So, I thought I would share with you today some of my favourite drugstore/high-street nail polish, lip and eye nude products.

Nail Polish

Now, anyone who knows me will know I have an obsession with nail polish! And nude shades are no exception. I feel like they’re a really great way to add some colour while being fuss free – it doesn’t matter if it’s not applied super neat, or if it chips slightly, because no ones going to notice! I have 4 nail polish shades that I am currently loving, 2 my Maybelline, 1 by the good old fashioned Barry M (I know, I’m impressed I didn’t list 10…) and one by L’Oreal – which are new to me, but still great!

I have to pink toned nudes, one from Maybelline SuperStay 7 Days in the shade French Manicure, and then a slightly darker one by L’Oreal in the shade Cade De Nuit 116. Both beautiful and stunning and give you that natural French Manicured look. Then I have a darker brown nude – like the Kylie Jenner lip, but for your nails – and it’s the Maybelline SuperStay 7 Days in the shade Rose Poudre. And to finish off the set, I return with my favourite – Barry M Gelly Hi Shine – this time in Almond, a beautiful purple toned nude.

Nude lipsticks for me are a staple! They’re so easy to wear and although it can take some time to find a shade that’s right for your skin tone, I feel like when you’ve found your ‘perfect nude’ then you will be wearing it all day, every day!

The first one, and probably the most obvious, comes from the Rimmel Kate Moss Nudes Collection, this launched about a year ago with the idea that there was a nude for everyone. I think there are 6 shades in this range, but my favourite in shade 43, as it’s a beautiful brown nude. Another brown nude, which I get more wear out of than I would care to admit is the Maybelline Colour Sensational in Velvet Beige 630. It’s soft and creamy and I just love it.

On the other hand you have the pink toned nudes, of which I love the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 38 and the Maybelline Colour Sensational in Pink Fling 207.

I don’t often wear a lipliner, especially with a nude lipstick. However, they’re pretty essential if you want your lipstick to last longer, or you want to plump up your lips. I only own one nude lipliner – most of mine are in pink or red – and it’s the MUA Lip Liner in Caramel Nougat. These lip liners are only £1m, and although they might not be the creamiest, for the price you pay they’re great!

I have to admit, when I go for an eyeliner 99% of the time it’s black – as in jet black, and it not it’s in a dark brown. However I do have two Nude shades in my collection that I love and they’re both similar shades; a taupe/bronze colour. The No.7 Stay Perfect Amazing Eyes Pencil in Bronze is more of a matte finish, while the Maybelline Master Drama the NUDES in Pearly Taupe is much more shimmery. However, I love them both, and use them less as eyeliner and more as Eye Pencils, applying them like I would a cream product.

I have two eyeshadow palettes to share with you and they are the Revolution ULTRA Professional Eyeshadow Beyond Flawless and the W7 In the Nude. Both under £10, both I would highly recommend. And they both come with some beautiful shades. Honoury mention has to go to the Miss Sporty Quad in Brown Smokey Eye, I have only recently added this to my collection, but it is amazing, compact and has all you need in it to create the perfect natural but smokey eye!

I hope you enjoyed seeing what nude shade products I am currently loving from the Drugstore, leave any of yours in the comments, I love to hear from you!
