Empties Reviews

It’s back again! My monthly empties. If you haven’t seen my last one, then check it out here. Basically, these are the products I have used up this month, and I’m going to let you know what I think about them in a series of mini reviews. Have fun!

Herbel Essences Uplifting Volume Shampoo and Conditioner

This is my favourite shampoo and conditioner, it has been for a few years, and it will probably be for a few more. It leaves my hair feeling soft, shiny, strong and gives it a little bit of volume. Also, it smells amazing!

L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Shampoo and Conditioner

While the end of my hair is dry, my scalp isn’t, and so I felt like this shampoo and conditioner did wonders for the health of the ends of my hair, however it left my hair feeling dirty within one day of washing!! And for this reason I don’t think I’ll buy it again, instead I think I’ll just put oil on my ends..

L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Mask

You actually get a lot of product in this, it lasts a long time. It looks like butterscotch and it feels really soft and hydrating for the ends of my hair, and I think this is one of the main reasons why my hair feels so much softer. However, it’s heavy – as most masks are – and I lost a lot of volume with this. Also, don’t put this into your scalp, it will make it greasy!

Herbel Essences Clearly Naked

I had high hopes for this because I love Herbel Essences as a brand. However, this really let me down. It actually didn’t really do anything, it just clogged up my hair with product. I feel like the Batiste one is just so much better and would chose that one over this! Plus, the bottle broke half way through, so this actually (theoretically) isn’t empty, I just can’t finish it because I can’t spray it. But it does smell good – as all Herbel Essence products do – so there’s a good point there…

Collection Nail Polish Remover

I loved this nail polish remover, it removed my nail polish really quickly and it removed any staining. It was also under £5! Can’t complain, would recommend.

Next Eau Nude

This wasn’t a WOW product, but it smelled nice and it absorbed well into the skin. So I wouldn’t buy it again, but it wasn’t unpleasant, it just didn’t do anything all that impressive.

Dover In-Shower Body Moisturiser

This is a weird product. It’s somewhere in the middle of a soap and a moisturiser, and it was really really creamy on the skin, and it left my skin feeling amazing. Basically the idea is you turn the shower off/away from your skin, lather it all over your body, and then wash it off, and you are all moisturised without having to wait for your moisturiser to dry. And although I don’t think it really saves a lot of time, it was really nice and soft and it did work.. so…

St. Ives Body Scrub

I couldn’t make my mind up about this, even after finishing the entire tub. Here’s my problem, it does the job – your skin is smooth and flake free – however, it gets everywhere! Your shower ends up looking like a beach and you have to spend a good minute of to at the end of every shower spraying everything down. And, for that reason, this product annoys me…

Neutrogena Face Scrub

I feel like this is one of those products that everyone has tried, and people like, and it works, but that’s all you can say about it. Because, let’s face it, it’s true. It’s a nice, gentle face scrub that leaves you face feeling soft and clean.. not much else to say.

Good Things Manuka Honey Mask

This actually went a really long way! I managed to get 4 uses out of this tiny tube! 4 uses?! I know! And it was a nice mask, my skin definitely looks radiant, and it decreased the redness of my skin. However, I think it may have been this that has resulted me to break out.. so.. I don’t think I’ll be using this again, however I do think it’s a good product, just be careful if you have sensitive skin.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

I have gone through so many of these. I also feel like everyone, and their mother and their (insert any female relation here) has heard off this product. And there is a reason for this, it’s amazing! Enough said! PS: I already have 2 more tubes..

Elizabeth Arden Mascara

Now this was really nice, it clumps a little, so if you’re not into that look, then this isn’t for you. But it made your lashes super thick and voluminous! It comes with a short bristled brush and I just really liked this mascara. Plus, the packaging is gorgeous!

Zoella Let’s Spritz Body Mist

I don’t think I’ve ever finished a body mist before, and so I guess this goes to show how much I love this! It smells amazing, and although it doesn’t stick around forever, it does last well and people always notice when I wear it. Plus, the bottle is completely adorable!

Garnier Micellar Water

This is amazing, it removes your makeup really easily and it doesn’t sting your eyes – at all. I would highly recommend this, it’s around £3 and it lasts forever! This is my 3rd bottle, and I’m still buying them…

So these are the empties for this month, I feel like I finished some really amazing products and then some really meh products, but I hope you enjoyed seeing what I finished this month!

As always, have a good month!
