Review | Sleek Solstice Palette

If I was to think of a highlighter than I have heard so much hype over, it would be this; the Sleek Solstice Palette. Nothing has reveived as much hype as this one, so I thought I would give it a go and let you know exactly how I feel.

At £9.99 for 4 shades, it’s amazing value for money, and, to be honest, on the whole, Sleek tends to be an incredible brand. Definitely one that should never be overlooked!

First things first, the packaging is beautiful. The rose gold packaging is so on trend right now (and partnered with the marble background in my photos, and a fake plant, how instagramable can you get?! Haha!). It comes with a mirror, which is always a definite bonus! The only slightly annoying thing is that the lid only opens to 90 degrees, then it doesn’t open any further, which actually makes using the huge mirror slightly awkward.

There are four shades in the palette; one cream, and 3 powders. They are super shimmery, pigmentated, properly in your face highlighters perfect for even those of us with pale skin tones (but probably a little too pale for those with deeper skin tones. I have to admit I don’t get a lot of use out of the cream colour – in fact, I find this one a little chunky – and the purple and gold shades don’t get as much love as they should do. BUT, the shade in the bottom left is stunning! It’s a go to highlighter for me, and whenever I wear it I always get people asking me what I have on! Absolutely stunning!

So, it is an exeptional product, I use it everyday, at £9.99 it’s great value, the shades are gorgeous. However, I feel a little guilty that I only get use out of one of the four shades.
